A Mushroom Induced Epiphany
I had an epiphany.
It was one of those rare and precious moments where everything falls into place and the bigger picture is suddenly, brilliantly clear.
I happened to be wrapped in a white robe, sitting on the floor of my bathroom, bawling hysterically when it happened — but, hey, the Universe shows up when the Universe shows up.
I would call myself a novice in all things “drug” related. I didn’t even try marijuana until I was well into my 30’s and even then, I had to be talked into it.
My parents drilled it into me that I would be severely punished if they ever caught me doing drugs — meanwhile, they were hosting annual blow-filled Christmas parties.
My experience with marijuana has been positive for the most part — it’s legal here and the culture is fun. My wife entered the industry after we were married, and it has been an interesting transition from a die-hard Just Say No devotee to becoming a daily cannabis user and advocate.
So, when my wife suggested we take mushrooms I was nervous, but also curious.
