I have been working since I was 14 years old. I have a college education and a strong work ethic. I’ve worked in multiple industries, the most time being spent in Food & Beverage/Restaurant management. In 26 years I have NEVER made 50k a year. The absolute MOST I’ve ever been offered as a salary was 47k - and that was with all of my experience. I’m betting a vast majority of the American working population doesn’t even get that close to 50k a year.
