It Is A Dark Day For Women
they’ve stripped a constitutional right away from us and it won’t stop here.
Today will go down in history.
In 10 or 15 years school children will learn about the day the United States Supreme Court rescinded a fundamental right for women.
If there are even schools by then. If they even teach about Roe v. Wade in the first place. Which they probably won’t.
I knew this was going to happen, but starting at the headline this morning still made my heart sink. After nearly 50 years, the Not-So-United States has declared a war on women's health. Women’s autonomy. Women’s rights.
FUCK. YOU.
The Texas attorney general immediately declared that abortions were now illegal in the state, called it a holiday, and took the rest of the day off.
He said:
“We cannot forget the extraordinary violence that Roe and Casey unleashed on our nation”
Extraordinary violence? ARE. YOU. FUCKING. KIDDING. ME?
Not even a month ago there was a mass shooting that killed actual children and adults in Texas. He’s shutting down the office to mourn the unborn, but can’t be bothered to support gun reform laws.
